Summer Stock Up

In July and August I will be busy with shows every weekend. So now is my time to restock.
This week it was ankle bracelets, eye glass leashes and pins.

I only make a couple of the most popular designs of ankle bracelets anymore. This week it was rainbows and bits 'n pieces, 6 of each and in small medium and large.$15.

Next up eye glass leashes. Several of each color, blues, bits 'n pieces, pinks, browns. $20.

Then today it was all about pins!! Blues, blue-greens, greens, green-purples, and purples. $25

I hope these last a while so I can focus my energies on some new designs. Remember if you see anything on my blog that catches your eye just shoot me an email and we can fix you up.

Online Store Restock

My online store has been extremely neglected. I sold so many of the things that were listed at the end of the year that it is now very sparse. So today I began re-stocking. First up was a few of my unique bead art pins. You can find them in the Accessories section of the shop. I don't think I have ever listed these online so we will see how they go. In my booth they are attention grabbers, but it can be hard to capture their whimsy in a photograph.

First Art Gallery!

Today I put my first ever item in an art gallery!! While at the Holiday Food & Gift Fair last weekend the gallery owner came into my booth and loved my bead art pins. I stopped in the gallery today and she selected 12 pins to put on display. One sold before I left the gallery.  Old Town Custom Framing & Gallery is located in old town Silverdale.  Besides being a custom frame shop there is a very nice selection of local art. Paintings, photography, potter, glass, jewelry and textiles. Be sure to stop in if you are in the area.Youc an also check them out on Facebook.

Red and Green

For the holidays I decided to make a few items in red and green. A variety of crystal tassel earrings and some of my great pins. The pins always bring a smile to my customers faces. Everyone sees something different in them and many folks offer new names. One I especially liked.... Party on a Pin!

These earrings come in several different combinations of red and green with silver or gold
and also some that are red and clear crystals.

A party on a pin!!!

New - Bead Art Pins

Several years ago I decorated some small colored cardboard boxes with beads. My favorite was one with a wire and beaded bow on top. Folks always comment on it, and I ask if they would buy it and how much they might pay for it. The answer was always that they loved it, but would not pay much for a cardboard box.

Recently someone suggested I make the bow removable and something that could be worn as a pin. That suggestion has morphed into my newest creation – Bead Art Pins!

Whimsical, Colorful Bead Art Pins are made from a variety of glass seed beads on various gauges and colors of wire that spring from a 1 inch pin. Approximately 3 inches in length/width and 1 inch deep. Decorate a coat, scarf, hat or shirt. Can also be used as a beautiful bow on a gift box.

Getting ready to make a pin. Once I got started it was hard to stop they were so fun! A twist here, a curl there, hang a dangle, bend a wire. Some have a green coil that reminds me of new fern fiddle heads. Blues, pinks, greens, purples, sparkly, matte, so many colors and textures to choose from!!
I have one listed in my online boutique. for $25. I have a dozen I will take to the Fremont Sunday market tomorrow to see how folks like them. Wish me luck!
