Red Creek Jasper

This jasper is mined in China. It is also known by the names of Cherry Creek or Picasso Jasper. 

Metaphysically it is believed to bring balance and relaxation and, like all jaspers, it is a stone of protection and grounding.

As a healing stone, red creek jasper helps with sense of smell and promotes physical energy.

 Mystically it helps to bring balance to your life and aids in relaxation, 

as well as eases emotional stresses. 

 This stone is thought to be lucky for actors.

This year I am turning my focus much more to stones. I call it my "spiritual stones collection - release your inner power!" I have created small informational cards for each stone type to tell about the healing and mystical qualities. It can be a fun way to select a gift for someone or yourself.

 Outback wood jasper: Jasper brings joy to life! A centering and grounding stone that brings calm and tranquility. Combats exhaustion. Helps create a positive attitude.

All About Ears - Pink, Coral and Orange

Often when I need to make a number of earrings I lay them out all at once, rather than make one at a time. For me this is a much faster way to work. I have small hash marks taped to my work table that I use to line up the headpins as I make loops and wraps so that every pair is equal in length and my loops are the same size. It also helps that my round nose pliers have been used so many times that there is a small dent right where I position the headpin! 

Recent Work - Jasper Teardrops

I am continuing to beef up my inventory for my holiday shows. One recent series uses jasper teardrops.

Jasper is a form of chalcedony or quartz.  It brings joy into your life! Clean you jasper jewelry with a soft dry cloth as the polish can be washed off with water. Jasper is believed to strengthen the stomach and cure gynecological problems. Mystically, jasper is believed to bring one what they need and to aid in attaining a sound sleep. Jasper also increases your ability to feel joy and carries a protective power.Jasper has been thought to drive away evil spirits and protect against snake and spider bites.
