Shop Local, Shop Handmade - Engayla

tweaked Rags 2014 booth

For the fashionistas on your holiday list or for a special treat for yourself, check out the beautiful clothing and accessories of Engayla - wearable art - classic design. Engayla design is the creation of Angela Ehrig. Her designs are fabulous, comfortable, textured and made for the individual, not the crowd. Whether designing wearable art from natural fiber fabrics or producing one of a kind purses and jewelry, Engayla focuses on comfort, beauty and classic construction. Each piece of adornment is unique. Her selection follows no preconceived notion and goes from heart to hand, evolving into body ornaments that have art-to-wear qualities.

“Creating new fashion is creating a feeling, a mood, making a statement, provoking curiosity and evoking a sense of purity, femininity, whimsicality, theatricality, mystery, and romance.” Visit her website to learn more about Angela, her designs and her process.  Also check out her artist studio tours to Germany!

“Listening to my customers and knowing what they are looking for inspires me. I listen when women request garments made with lightweight and breathing fibers. Sometimes I play with the fabrics dyeing them or discharging them to create one-of-kind looks which flatter the classic pieces I create.” Follow her on Facebook to learn about upcoming shows and see photos of her latest designs.

Engayla's last open studio day is this Saturday December 6, 10am – 5pm. Shop for gifts, holiday attire, or to simply check out what’s new in a personal shopping atmosphere. Lots of fabulous warm jackets, purses, belts, jewelry and accessories, as well as the popular 50% off sale eack! Engayla – Wearable Art Studio in Ballard, 10045 Dibble Ave. N.W., Seattle WA 98177
